![]() I found the configuration to have some pretty awful optimization of the traced space, lowering your total area by a good factor. I am NOT running a WMR chaperone/room config. Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator Games, Software, etc. SteamVR beta, WindowsMR for Steam app beta, Release Preview. But there's gotta be a better way.Īny help is appreciated! I find myself avoiding VR simply because I have to setup Room Scale 2-5 times every session due to random crashes or hiccups requiring a restart of the app. Desperation will be a full windows reformat along with a steam uninstall. But if not, if anyone knows how to completely wipe out VR from my OS installation then that might be next. Hopefully I can just do a full setup of VR again without much trouble. I'm really not sure how my configuration isn't working, but it's frustrating. Whenever I run room scale, I check all the files in explorer to see which were edited, but these config files never seem to actually do anything after an exit/reset if I paste them back in before start up for example. I've looked through hidden AppData folders, documents, program files, I can not for the life of me see where this configuration is saved. The lower temperature of the steam room may be. I've uninstalled SteamVR completely, deleted configs in the Steam folder itself, but nothing I've tried has worked. A steam room differs from a sauna in two ways: humidity and lower ambient heat. Now that I've created a play area and a new SteamVR Room Scale Config that I am happy with, I'm finding that these never save! No matter what I do, the Room Scale Config is set back to the original/default which appears to just be a small circle which makes me believe this could be the default, and my configuration never saved once in the first place, not sure.Īm I missing something here? I've looked around for where the config files might be, but the file structure has changed for any relevant information I found: However, steam rooms tend to provide additional health benefits that saunas. When you enter a steam room, youll immediately notice steam both on your skin (making it will feel damp) and in the air (which often feels thick). Saunas are great for relaxing muscles, and so are steam rooms. A steam room is heated by a generator that contains boiling water. Usually, this dry heat is provided by a closed stove or hot rocks. ![]() I just wanted to hop in real quick, so I set up a little 1.0m by 1.1m space. While a steam room provides a wet heat, the sauna relies on dry heating. I'm having an issue with my Odyssey where the first time I setup my SteamVR Room Scale Configuration, I had yet to optimize my playing space.
